Welcome to Meridian RF&DC

Club History

The club started originally as the Bell Mar club run by Bill Belchum and John Marchant, when they retired the committee decided to rename the club to Meridian due to the club being based in the Greenwich area. The first coach of the Meridian club was Jenny Mudge and then Pauline Potts, who stayed with the club for many years, until Wendy Murphy joined and took over as head coach.

Head Coach

Wendy Murphy is the head coach of Meridian RF&DC, Wendy started out as a figures and free skater trained by Vera Harvey.
Wendy took charge of Meridian in 1978 where she concentrate her time on teaching dance. Wendy has trained international skaters for the past 22 years, at European and World level. Wendy currently trains 2 Dance couples including the British Champions and the 3rd ranked couple in Britain. She also trains 4 solo dance skaters, all of which have represented their country at European level.

Club Session

The club holds beginner classes, which includes grade and dance sessions. There are also club sessions for our existing club members. For more information including times and location please click here.
